Once I was back I sent the items back to Sitka under their warranty. They tested the items and found many pin sized holes. They advised the items were ruined. They also told me that they are not designed for going through the brush , spruce and devils club. They said it’s more of a sit in a tree stand or walk in the open country type gear.
They were not able to fix or replace the pants and jacket. They offered me a set of Sitka Cloudbursts for 50% off (about $340) but I didn’t accept it. Just couldn’t justify spending more money after the first set failed. So be mindful that their warranty is not universal.
Their customer service was helpful and prompt but couldn’t resolve my issue. They have good marketing, just be careful what your expectations are. Like many outdoor products they are probably great for using in the most vanilla conditions but don’t stand up well to more extreme ventures.
